The celebration of marriage is one of the most joyful occasions held in our church.  Congratulations to the prospective bride and groom! Thank you for considering First Congregational United Church of Christ for your wedding.

Guidelines, Fees, and Application (click here to download required forms)

Please contact the Pastor for an interview and planning session at least 3 to 6 months before the proposed wedding date. It may not be possible to schedule a wedding with less than 8 weeks notice. Since a wedding ceremony in the church is a service of worship, the following guidelines must be followed:

1) Music selections should be appropriate to an atmosphere of worship. It is the prerogative of the church’s music minister to play the organ and/or piano for the wedding before an outside musician. Certain other instrumental music is acceptable, providing the arrangements and selections are approved by the Pastor.

2) No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages on church premises. All bridal party members and guests should be informed of this regulation.

3) Aisle runners are not permitted. Our aisles are carpeted and sloped, so runners have proven to be a hazard.

4) Candles – The two large altar candles and the free-standing Christ candle must remain. If you desire to add candles of your own on the altar, such as a unity candle, please consult the wedding coordinator

5) Programs, bulletins or any printed matter are the responsibility of the bride and groom.
